When I was about sixteen years old my friend… we’ll call her Laura for the sake of the story, decided to take up witchcraft as a hobby. Her being terribly beautiful and I loving terribly beautiful woman offered to make her a ouija board from scratch. I took a big piece of glass and proceeded to draw what I thought was a beautiful board. The night I was finally done, I went to bed around the witching hour still wondering if such a thing would work. This was the night of my very first night terror episode. I fell into a deep sleep. My body was completely paralyzed when I suddenly heard a noise coming from the ouija glass beside me. I tried to move but it was as though I was being held down by some
About ten years ago, when I was twelve, my family and I moved into a nice new home. It had two levels, and was fairly large. While my younger brother and I had rooms on the upper floor, my parents’ room was downstairs. About two weeks after moving in, I started to hear strange sounds. They mostly occurred at night, and consisted of scratches and thuds. We didn’t have pets, so that wasn’t the cause. Mice perhaps? Well, after I told my parents about the sounds, they had pest control come and check out the place, and there was no evidence of rodents. After that was ruled out, I actually became quite scared. One night in particular, a huge thud shook the wall right behind my bed and jolted me out of my sleep. Another night, I woke up hearing laughter. No one in our family sleeps with a tv on, so it wasn’t that. I assumed it was my little brother being obnoxious in his room. I went down the hall to tell him to shut up, but he was fast asleep, and I was left with a long, terrifying trip back down the dark hall to my room. While the thuds would occur in random places throughout my room, the scratching mainly came from my closet. I got out of bed one night, and opened my closet door. I turned on the light, and after a few seconds, the bulb completely blew out. Over time, I got used to the sounds, and I stopped being scared. I figured if something was there to hurt me, it would have already done it. These sounds have since followed me into my twenties, where I am now living in my own place. Whenever I hear a thud or a door creak, or see a light flicker, I’m not scared. It wasn’t until about a year after living there that we found out that a house had tragically burned down on that property about 40 years earlier, killing a couple’s young son. Whether the noises I experienced during that time were in connection to that little boy, I have no clue. But to this day, I’ve learned to embrace and respect the idea of supernatural beings surrounding us. At least non-malevolent ones…
Have you ever gotten that feeling of paranoia; the feeling that someone of something is watching you? There never goes a day without that sensation engulfing my body. I guess some might say that it is completely normal; an occurrence that happens to everyone. Yet, I am not like everyone. These feelings come and go like a memory; a memory of something I have endured when I was younger. However, it is only a feeling or remembering without the full details of a memory, almost like the sense of deja vu.
When I was four years old, I experienced my paranormal activity. You might be thinking, how would I remember from that far ago? Well I don’t. My mother recalls every little detail from when that happened to me as if occurred yesterday. This is not to be considered false in any occasion; this a true story of the paranormal. A story not to take lightly because it can happen to anyone. Just the idea of typing this personal story out makes me more vulnerable, like when I was four years old.
When I was four years old, I had an exorcism performed on me. Apparently, a curse jumped on me that was intended for my mother’s death. Yet, innocence is always an easier entrance. One night, after my mother put me to bed, she began to hear noises coming from my old home. Noises, as if someone was outside, stalking her every movement. My mother quickly pushed aside those noises and went to bed. The following morning, she found a mysterious pile of dirt, sitting on the top door step of our house. What she also made note of was that there was a footstep on this pile, visible but nothing too noticeable. My mother just kind of, swiped it away like nothing. Days later, she began to notices changes on me. I began to turn pale, lose of appetite, lose of weight, sleepless nights, and the worst erratic behavior. My mother began to worry, and took me to several doctors, to which they all agreed nothing was wrong with me. One day, one of my aunts decided to visit my mother and I, to see my condition for herself. She noted the changes as well, but these were no ordinary medical changes. She knew what was wrong with me and suggested my mother to meet with a women who could help heel me. Of course, the price was steep, but with no other choice, my mother took me to her after a week of being sick. One inside the women’s office, she told my mother that I was not sick, but rather cursed.
There is an old Mexican myth, that taking dirt from a cemetery and placing it at the front entrance of a home, unleashes a death curse. Apparently, from what the women said to my mother, someone’s from my father’s side of the family did this because of their extreme dislike of my mother. Of course, since many of my relatives from my father’s side worked at a local cemetery not to far from my house. The women told my mother that I needed an exorcism performed within the next day, or I was going to die. My mother had no idea that the paranormal even existed, but it was not a chance she was willing to take. The same day after meeting with the women, my mother told the news to my father. He was angry for my mother even meeting with this women, yet even more angry when he found out that I needed an exorcism performed. My father thought it was something fake because he was a skeptic. The day before I had my exorcism performed, the environment of my home became dangerous. There was a presence with me and it grew more furious as my mother and father talked about the exorcism. Finally, my father gave in and decided I needed one or else things would get worse. Eventually I got the exorcism and I was told that 10 years from then, I was suppose to meet the women who saved me. It turns out, she is nowhere to be found anymore.
Now, being 19, I can still feel that presence watching me, waiting for me to leave myself vulnerable for another curse to be placed. The only way to make sure from that ever happening is to stay away from anything that might cause that doorway to open (i.e. Ouija boards, psychics, or anything that can result to the paranormal).
Believe what you want after reading this, but notice this is only a shorter version of what really happened, as I fear going into further details will open a “door”. I know, for myself, that this is true.
My 5 yr old daughter kept saying things were turning off and on in her room. We thought she was just being a kid and looking for an excuse to sleep with us, and blew it off. Until one day we were in her room and toy with dancing flowers and creepy old music started playing by itself without anyone turning it on.
We called the landlord to check out the wiring. He went into the basement of the home, built in the 1800′s as a coach house, which still had “stalls” in it and no entrance directly into the home. He was following the electrical wiring we had complained about and found hidden in a dusty corner…an urn with human remains!!
It had been inadvertently left by an elderly tenant many years ago who was ill and had other people move him out. He made many phone calls to find a younger brother of the now deceased elderly tenant. The brother came to pick up the urn and said “Oh thank you so much. This is my mother.” and then pointed to what we thought was a lovely stand for the urn and said, “And that is my father.”!!!! After they had been returned we never had a problem again.
My cousin was on vacation in Florida while my aunt would stop in to get the mail and such. My aunt went over to the house to check up on anything and noticed that the TV was on. So, she turned it off and gave her daughter a call telling her that she left the TV on. A few days later my aunt stopped back in and noticed the TV was on again. This TV belonged to her mom, who always watched cooking shows. Again, my aunt turns it off and leaves. The next day when my cousin got home she saw the TV on…the cooking channel. She calls her mom,”I don’t care if you want to watch how to cook, just make sure you turn the TV off.”
My aunt responded,”I didn’t use the TV and I hate cooking shows.”
when i was growing up about 8 or 9 i lived in a house that was haunted. it was built on a cemetery from the 1800′s..we would hear somebodies names being called and nobody was there. In the backyard we often heard ruffling sounds in the leaves and people running and giggling.also we could go next door and in the bottom floor were voices we heard and red glowing eyes..the landlord did nothing and denied everything but to our dismay we looked up the house online and found when and where it was built..before we had to leave that place we had a fire that started in the middle of a room from a lamp..the funny thing is the lamp was on the other side of that room and nobody was in it..and the next day we went into the house and in the room where the fire was there was a 20 dollar bill in the middle of the floor not even touched.
I was about 14 yrs old living in a old farm house, where a crazy old man shot himself. I would see shadows all the time pacing throughout the entire house. I recall one winter night I was alone, went down the staircase because I thought someone came home, but no one was around, then I suddenly I heard a noise from the basement, at the very same moment a door slammed on my arm. that same house Ive had books thrown at me. soo glad we moved. but now I’m 28 living in another haunted house, But these ones are not as mean.
I had just watched “The Serpent and the Rainbow” with a girlfriend who had a serious OCD about locking her passenger door EVERY time she got out. After the film, which spooked me out, we walked back to her car. I remember feeling “fuzzy” and reaching through the open car window to unlock it. I sat down almost simultaneously with her, she turned to open the car door for me and I said,”I reached through and got it.”. Her face turned pale as she pointed to the CLOSED window! She NEVER forgets to lock her doors and windows shut, I still have no idea what happened.
2 weeks ago, I was in the living room when I heard the sound of a music box playing, comming from the office…My wife yelled for me to come check it out. I came into the room and the music stopped. The music box was my Mother-in-laws. She passed back in 1999. The music box never played music and the winding mechanisim is broken.
Halloween weekend 2009, a friend and I were staying at the Gastonian in Savannah Georgia. She had been soaking in the tub for about 10 minutes when she hollered out to me to come take a look at the wall sconce that was flashing off and on. After another 10 minutes she called out to me, “Did you just hear that?!?” I asked what I was supposed to hear, and she replied that the whirlpool function on the tub had just turned on. By itself. She finished her bath, and the wall sconce (the second of four) flickered off and on again. We then decided to ask some yes/no questions- if yes flash the light on. We asked if it was okay for us to stay at the Inn- the light came on.
we asked if they had lived in the house when they were alive- the light came on.
We asked if there was someone else there- the light came on. we asked if they were men/boys. no light. We asked if they were girls/women- light came on. We then asked if there was something evil haunting 432 Abercorn. the second sconce came on and stayed on!
me and my wife just had our first child and we have suspected a paronormal being in our house before with doors opening and things falling of the wall when we brought are daughter home in her nursery there is a lock anytime we lay her down to sleep shut and put the lock up it flys open with alot of force im not scared but on occasion i do get the chills and goosebumps my wife and her sister said a prayer to keep our daughter un harmed by the spirit once they started it was as if the ghost got mad and flung the lock so hard open that the door flew open as well. thats my ghost story
Growing up in our old farmhouse, we always heard stories of “Arnold”, the ghost that supposedly haunted the place. The story was that Arnold, the previous owner of the house, was on a ladder outside painting near the 2nd story window by my brothers room. He fell and rolled into the open storm shelter, fracturing his skull, and later dying. Now I always had weird stuff happen such as lights come on by themselves, door knobs turn, hear footsteps etc but the scariest thing happened to my sister. She was sleeping in the living room and awoke for some reason. She looked into the dining room and saw 3 little girls standing side by side. She got scared and pulled the blanket tight over her head. All of a sudden it looked like somebody was running their finger over the other side of the blanket. She hit at it and it disappeared, only to return again. She threw the blankets off over her head and glanced into the dining room again. The 3 girls still stood there but appeared to be arguing. The smallest of the girls pushed the tallest one who in return shoved her back. The little girl fell to the floor and disappeared. My sister said then what appeared to be a small tornado formed over the dining room table and the girls disappeared.
We have heard footsteps in the hallway upstairs….the basement doorknob turn, the doorbell ring by itself, lights come on and go off, hear voices in the basement, loud bangs on the basement and front door and even had a heavy wooden paper towel holder fly off of the wall toward my mom and I, which was 5 foot away!
My mom’s house is very creepy and even tho I am 31 years old, I REFUSE to stay there alone!!!
